Q1 2025 Achievements of UAFIC: Strengthening the Fintech Sector in Ukraine 💪
The Ukrainian Association of Fintech and Innovation Companies continues to actively work and drive the development of the financial technology sector in the country. The first quarter of 2025 brought numerous significant events and initiatives that became successful steps toward the advancement of Ukrainian fintech. Over the past three months, we have organized and participated in several large-scale events, each of which has had a substantial impact on the industry’s growth.
1. Workshop "Challenges and Opportunities for Business in 2025" (January 21) 🎙
This workshop, organized with the participation of expert Dmytro Paliushchenko from Juscutum, provided a crucial platform for discussing the key challenges businesses face in Ukraine. The event covered new requirements for critical infrastructure enterprises, cybersecurity issues, and updated employee reservation procedures. Participants gained not only theoretical insights but also practical advice on how to adapt to the changes that 2025 brings.
2. Agro Finance Summit (January 23) 🌱
In partnership with Aggeek and with the support of the USAID AGRO Program, UAFIC organized an event dedicated to the agricultural sector. It was a great opportunity for farmers to explore innovative financial instruments such as agri-installment plans, leasing, grants, and commodity crediting. These tools are designed to support the growth of Ukrainian agribusiness in wartime conditions.
3. International Visit to Sweden and Finland ✈ (February 17-21)
We actively promote international collaboration. Thanks to the "EU4Business" program, a delegation of Ukrainian business and finance leaders had the opportunity to visit Sweden and Finland. This visit facilitated experience-sharing with European partners and opened up new opportunities for investments and partnerships in the fintech sector.
4. Ukrainian Fintech Week (March 17-21)
The highlight of the first quarter was Ukrainian Fintech Week—a fintech-focused event series featuring several key discussions and conferences:

- Presentation of Ukraine's HR-Tech Map (March 17) – a milestone project for the development of HR technologies in Ukraine.
- Roundtable "GDPR for Fintech: European Standards and the Ukrainian Perspective" (March 18) – discussions on adapting to European data protection requirements.
- Fintech Bridge "The Role of Ecosystems in the Development of Innovative Finance" (March 19) – a discussion on the importance of ecosystems in financial innovation.
- Pay.Forum (March 20) – a major conference on trends and challenges in the payments market.
- Digital Lending Conference (March 21) – an expert-driven discussion on the future of lending and online financial services.
- Ukrainian Fintech Awards (March 21) – a prestigious award ceremony recognizing the top players in the fintech industry.
