Experience that inspires
Participants in the "TOP 50 Most Influential Women in Fintech 2025" ranking share the advice they wish they had received at the beginning of their careers.
Victoria Strakhova
Member of the Supervisory Board – Representative of the President of Ukraine, JSC Ukreximbank
“Think ahead, because technology evolves rapidly, and what seems impossible today may become possible tomorrow."
Inna Tiutiun
Member of the Management Board, Chief Information Technology, Retail Banking & Payments, and Digital Transformation Officer, Sense Bank
At the beginning of my career, what I wanted to hear most were these simple words: "Don't be afraid to make mistakes." I would tell myself not to wait for perfect circumstances or guaranteed success, but to trust my instincts and take action. Looking back, I now know that failures teach us far more than easy victories. They build resilience, provide invaluable experience, and ultimately shape your true professional journey.
Iryna Bilyaeva
Managing Partner, Juscutum
I would tell myself: "Don't set limits for yourself, and don't let formal boundaries define what you can or cannot do." Even at the beginning of my banking career, it was important for me to speak up confidently, express my own views, and stand by my position - even when talking to people with more seniority or experience.
"When you are truly passionate about what you do, trust your own vision and don't diminish yourself because of doubt or the fear of seeming too ambitious. The willingness to speak up, take action, and accept responsibility opens doors to opportunities you might never discover if you stay within the boundaries of your usual role."
Kateryna Danylchenko
Director of the International Bureau of Credit Histories (Creditinfo Group, Ukraine)
I would tell myself: "Don't be afraid to take on responsibility, and don't wait for the perfect moment. It almost never comes. The most valuable experience doesn't come when you know everything—it comes when you're willing to learn, ask questions, and make decisions."

Chief Financial Officer, RozetkaPay
If I could go back to the beginning of my career, I would tell myself: "Don't be afraid to take on responsibility. And don't try to be perfect—the desire to do everything flawlessly often keeps you from taking the first step."
I would also tell myself: "Don't compare your journey to anyone else's, and don't be afraid to change direction when you feel the time is right. A career is not a straight line—it's a journey."
Marina Avdeyeva
Chair of the Supervisory Board, Arsenal Insurance Company
I would tell myself: "Don't be afraid of uncertainty, and be bolder when making big decisions. Don't wait for the perfect moment — it almost never comes. The greatest opportunities for growth lie beyond your comfort zone, and the most important decisions in my life have been exactly those."

Nataliia Kosenko
Deputy Chair of the Management Board, FUIB
"Don't worry about things you don't need to. You'll always find a way through."
Olga Nedilko
Chief Executive Officer, iPay.ua
"Well done for facing your fear and taking the leap. Value your resilience, determination, and openness to change. Your journey will lead you to a deeper sense of purpose."
Tetiana Dashevska
CEO & Co-founder, SoftBees (Ukraine & Poland)
If I could give my younger self one piece of career advice, I would say: "Don't lower your own standards. Take on responsibility, don't be afraid to ask questions, always keep your promises, and protect your reputation — it will become your most valuable professional asset. At the same time, don't forget to take care of your energy, because it determines the quality of your decisions and your ability to keep moving forward. And remember: great goals are achieved through the small steps you take every day."
Tetiana Nikolenko
Deputy Director & Co-founder, PayForce
At the beginning of my career, I would tell myself: "Don't stop. Keep moving forward, even when it's difficult. Ask questions and seek answers. Set ambitious goals, even those that seem out of reach. Only those who keep going make it to the finish line and achieve results they once didn't even dare to dream of."
Khrystyna Karmazina
CEO, Vlasnyi Rakhunok Bank
I wish I had heard these simple words back then: "You're doing everything right. Just learn to celebrate your victories instead of constantly running the marathon." At the beginning of your career, it feels like working 24/7 is the only path to success. But the real superpower is the ability to build outstanding teams and ecosystems that stay one step ahead of the future.
Tetiana Chorna
Vice President, Country Manager for Ukraine, Visa
I would tell myself not to be afraid of challenges. "The most difficult projects and decisions are the ones that change us the most and open the door to new opportunities."
And one more thing: "Always remember that people are at the heart of every business. Achievements matter, but trust, support, and strong relationships with your team will always be your greatest assets."
Yana Levada
Business Development Director, NovaPay
"Everything will work out for you — and even better than you can imagine right now. Just don't be afraid to take on more responsibility and try new things."
