Ukrainian Association of Fintech and Innovation Companies and Ukrainian Startup Fund have signed memorandum of cooperation
USF has already received over 100 applications from Fintech companies
The partnership between UAFIC and USF is the next stage in the development of the Ukrainian Fintech and start-up ecosystem. The partners will exchange information on best practices in the development of the startup-ecosystem, facilitate the transfer of relevant knowledge and skills through participation in joint projects, events, meetings, etc.
UAFIC members will undergo a preliminary 3-month training on marketing, business modeling, customer service and other skills required by the startup team. And after filling out an application for a grant from the USF, such startups will be evaluated by the Fund's experts with a note confirming completion of such training. Such identification will not provide any formal advantages in the evaluation, but the Fund's expert will understand that the startup team has received the basic knowledge necessary to develop a successful project.
The Ukrainian Startup Fund has already financed 12 start-ups for the amount of about 13 MLN UAH. The Supervisory Board has approved the next 6 startups, which will receive grant financing in the amount exceeding 4 MLN UAH. Another 4 startups are waiting for the decision of the Board on financing in the amount of more than 5 MLN UAH.
As early as at the end of April another pitch (already the fifth one) of startups applying for grant financing from the USF will take place.
